TypingMind currently supports OpenAI's whisper, but I believe this sends our audio to OpenAI.

Whisper is available to run locally. If TypingMind could integrate with MacWhisper or any other way to run Whisper locally for data privacy, that would be great.

Is there actually a way to use MacWhisper via other apps? What's the localhost URL for doing that? Does anyone here know?

I agree 100%. Local TTS would be awesome. The minimal latency is acceptable and is not too compute intensive with a good enough gpu.

Check out aTrain. It’s open source and GitHub and has a free windows app. I think local whisper is too compute intensive to run through typing mind
